Lovely food but shame about the extremely poor service, the
worst I think I have ever experienced. This is the second poor
experience-service again, I have received and on that basis I will not
return again.

Our first visit to The Beeches yesterday for Sunday lunch. It
was a lovely warm and sunny day so we sat outside for a pre-lunch drink.
Slightly problematic as there were too many wasps, but great views. The
food was really good. We shared a starter (a selection of bites) which
was very good and great value. Our main meals we're lovely and very
generous. Service was good and the bar staff knew their wine. Really
good.

The quality of the food was excellent and very appetising.
However this was not enough to make up for the frosty reception,
unacceptable dirty cutlery and the apparent atmosphere between the
waitress staff. The Bar area when busy is not separated well to the
restaurant as it was very noisy. I would not recommend it at the
moment, until I read other people's reviews to determine whether or not
this was a one off.

The Beeches Bar & Grill on Marsh Lane, in the centre of the
village, good food and lovely atmosphere.

The restaurant decor is stylish with views over green fields.
The main menu is well thought out with starters and main courses that
compliment each other. The food is excellent quality that is well
prepared and presented. The desert menu is poor and does not fit with
the thoughtful main menu. The service is good but could be better
organised. I was not impressed with smokers coming through the
restaurant to the smoking area. This is not acceptable for an
establishment that is pitching itself at the premium end of the market.
Having said all this, this an excellent restaurant and it is able to
compete with the best in the Solihull area today.

We had a great lunch last Saturday, I had a T-bone which was
cooked to perfection and well worth the money whilst the rest of my
party opted for the lighter alternative, choosing from the brunch menu,
which included Eggs Benedict and a full English. There was a lovely
atmosphere, we had to sit inside as the decking was already full, but we
enjoyed the view and the food from there. The decor had a lovely balance
of modern (the cows!) mixed with old style. Our waitress Katrina (the
owner i believe) was great and pampered to our every need. Excellent
food, lively atmosphere, prices reflect the quality what more can be
said.

I would just like to mention the changes to the Beeches Bar &
Grill that have been undertaken by Katrina and Ian, it has been
stunningly refurbished and is now an asset to the village. As two locals
themselves they deserve all our support now and in the future. I believe
the website is
www.thebeecheshampton.co.uk for anybody wishing to see what I mean.
